After a first gameplay preview during Gamescom 2025, Activision announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will have a special COD Next event on September 30, 2025, revealing more details about the gameplay.
The game brings the series back to the Mason family through the character of David Mason, set in 2035. He and his crew find themselves stuck in a reality distorted by the actions of Raul Menendez from Black Ops 2.
After the success of Black Ops 6 last year, Treyarch and Raven seem to be offering a bolder experience that combines action and sci-fi.
The event will go live on September 30, where players will get their first extended look at multiplayer, with prominent content creators participating to experience the new modes firsthand, including zombies.
Activision has also confirmed that the beta will become available to fans on October 2, just two days after the event.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is set to launch on November 14, 2025 on all platforms, with availability from day one on Xbox Game Pass, opening the door for a wider audience to experience the series.
Despite launching a little later than previous Call of Duty releases, expectations are that Black Ops 7 will be one of the most powerful releases in the series’ history.
