The first season of the seventh year, titled The Pact, kicks off on September 9, 2025. Ubisoft revealed that the season focuses on the alliance of hostile factions against the Operators, adding a new and permanent open-world activity called Retaliation, which relies on Control Points mechanics to deliver more challenging tactical battles.
Following The Pact, a new seasonal expansion titled Mutiny will arrive later this year. While details are sparse so far, Ubisoft has confirmed that the season will add new modifiers as well as an innovative feature, the Companion System, giving players more varied play styles.
In the official article, the company hinted that 2026 will mark the tenth anniversary of The Division series, with promises of major surprises, which may include the announcement of The Division 3 or massive expansions.
Since its release in 2019, The Division 2 has continued to grow via seasonal updates and new modes such as Descent, and with this plan for the seventh year, it seems that the game still maintains its position as one of the most prominent cooperative shooters on the market.
