The year 2025 marked a historic event for PlayStation fans with the release of Gears of War: Reloaded, the full remake of the first installment in the popular series, marking the first time Gears became officially playable on PlayStation 5.
The game’s Trophy List retained its classic challenges such as finishing the campaign on Insane, but the surprise was in Trophy Platinum’s description, titled “Nothin’ Left,” which read: “Your adventure is over… for now.”
These last words seemed like a direct hint directed at PlayStation players, especially since the original Xbox version doesn’t include a similar achievement for completing all the challenges.
Previous leaks indicated that Reloaded was supposed to include a remake of the first three installments, while other reports confirm that Gears E-Day is on its way to the PS5 as well. This fuels speculation that the series’ entry into the PlayStation universe won’t stop there.
Bringing a title that was historically associated with Xbox and contributed to its success during the 2000s to PlayStation is an unprecedented event, and could be the start of a new strategy that opens the door for a new generation of gamers to experience Gears.
