Kojima Productions has announced a special event titled Beyond the Strand to celebrate its 10th anniversary, which will give fans a chance to see a “glimpse of future projects” while showcasing the studio’s achievements over the past decade.
The event will take place on September 23, 2025 at TOHO Cinemas in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo, and will be available for live attendance as well as a digital version of the broadcast. The studio confirmed that the event will feature a number of special guests, with Norman Reedus, who has been associated with Kojima’s recent projects, making an appearance.
The revelation came via an official statement, which explained that tickets for the event will go on sale starting September 2.
Over the past months, Hideo Kojima has stated that he is working almost single-handedly on the development of Physint, which is described as the spiritual successor to the Metal Gear Solid series. He also sparked controversy with statements about “learning ways to kill people while developing games,” arguing that developers need to understand these details if they want to create more realistic worlds.
As for the upcoming event, it is expected to focus mainly on OD, possibly revealing additional content for Death Stranding 2. As for the third installment of the series, Kojima has previously hinted that he may not be the one to develop it if the project materializes in the future.
