According to PlayStation Game Size, the upcoming Call of Duty 1.80 update will bring one of the biggest features players have been asking for in years: A massive downsizing of the game.
Game size after the update:
- PS5: 126.2GB to 25.3GB.
- On PlayStation 4: 81GB to 62GB.
The mechanism for this huge reduction has not been explained, but according to the leak, the reason is to make the multiplayer mode optional to download, as it will come with a size of 38.7GB and can be installed or ignored at the player’s discretion.
For years, Call of Duty fans have been repeatedly criticized for the exaggerated size of the game, especially on consoles where it consumes a large amount of storage space. If these leaks are true, the new update could solve one of players’ biggest complaints.
