It looks like Bethesda has finally given the first official hint of Starfield’s second expansion, on the game’s second anniversary.
In a celebratory post on social media, an intermittent glitch with the words “Terran Armada” appeared, leading players to believe that this is the official name of the upcoming expansion.
Terran refers to Earth, while Armada is usually used to refer to a huge fleet of ships. In the Starfield universe, in the year 2200, Earth has become a barren desert after the collapse of its atmosphere, forcing humanity to leave through a mass migration into space.
The cause was self-inflicted, as the constant use of the FTL drive destabilized the planet. The Terran Armada expansion could be a prequel story, taking players back to the historical moment when humanity left Earth in search of survival, bringing with it the lifeboats that kept the human race among the stars.
Prior to the game’s release, Bethesda promised to deliver one major expansion per year. So far, only the Shattered Space expansion has been officially revealed. Now, with the name Terran Armada emerging, it seems like it’s time to get a glimpse of the next project that will deepen the story and add a new dimension to the vast world of Starfield.
While no official announcement has been made yet, the question remains: what do you hope Bethesda will deliver in the Terran Armada expansion?
