At long last, Sloclap has announced the release of the third update for Rematch, the biggest one yet, adding the much-anticipated crossplay feature across platforms. This change will enable players to form a unified community and provide faster and more diverse matches.
Crossplay was scheduled to be available at launch, but technical issues prevented it from happening, and it is now rolling out more than two months after the game’s release and repeated delays.
The update isn’t limited to multiplayer, but brings significant changes that include:
- Improved responsiveness in blocks and defensive tackles.
- Fixed issues with keepers such as slowdowns or errors in blocking.
- Reduced camera shake and increased accuracy of serves and touches.
- Added new mouse and keyboard control options such as Joystick Emulation and Directional Aiming.
- Interface improvements such as color options, aiming cursor sizes, and support for color blindness.
- Graphical and audio improvements including improved lighting, shadows, crowds, and match sounds.
Despite the major overhauls, the studio noted that there are still some currently known issues, such as bugs related to keepers, ball synchronization, and some defensive and offensive moves.
As such, the third Rematch update is an important step in the game’s development and community satisfaction, opening the door to a smoother and more inclusive experience for all players.
