The PLAY! PLAY! PLAY! PlayStation broadcast from the heart of Tokyo during the Tokyo Game Show 2025, which focused mainly on showing off Resident Evil Requiem, and despite the great anticipation, the event came as a disappointment to many gamers, as it did not provide any new information worthy of an hour-long broadcast.

The most sensitive point was the absence of Leon Kennedy’s character from any new appearance, especially after the recent leaks that hinted at the possibility of his existence as a playable character This absence led many to accuse Capcom of still covering up the true details of the game.
Although the broadcast was in Japanese and aimed primarily at the local audience, the Western audience, which represents the largest percentage of the series’ community, was the most vocal in expressing disappointment, reflecting the global anticipation of what Capcom will present.
According to expectations, Capcom is likely to reveal more information about Resident Evil Requiem over the next two months, especially after what was shown at TGS 2025. There are also hints that a new demo could be released in the coming weeks.

Haha, classic Capcom! TGS 2025: Where one hour of the same demo feels like an eternity, and fans are left checking their calendars for the next hint or leak. The Resident Evil Requiem reveal was less show, dont tell and more show, then show again, then whisper maybe later. Leons absence? A masterclass in digital smoke and mirrors. Well, the Western fans are already louder than a tank, so maybe next time theyll bring the actual goods instead of a demo loop.
