In a new report from Circana, Battlefield 6 has not only been a successful return to form for the series, but has officially become the best-selling game in Battlefield history, surpassing Battlefield 1, which held the top spot for many years.
According to the data, Battlefield 6’s sales in October alone were enough to make it the best-selling game of the month, the best-selling game of the year, and most importantly, it surpassed Battlefield 1’s lifetime total
This huge achievement makes Battlefield 6 a huge leap forward for the series, especially in light of the strong competition in the shooter market.
Circana also noted that Battlefield 6 achieved the highest value of digital and physical sales in one month in the United States in the past three years, the last game to record higher revenues in one month was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022), which reflects the strength of demand for Battlefield 6 after its launch.
The game is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, and on October 28, EA launched a free REDSEC mode, which helped attract more players and increase the game’s momentum.
The current numbers suggest that Battlefield 6 is not a passing success, but rather a new phase that may return the series to its place among the giants of the shooter genre, especially after years of wobbling.
