Just two weeks before its official launch on October 30th, Embark Studios’ ARC Raiders (the studio behind The Finals) is seeing a huge turnout during a server test meant to test the game’s readiness ahead of launch.
The game hit an impressive 189,668 concurrent players on Steam to become the most popular PvP game on the platform to date, beating out popular names such as Gray Zone Warfare, Arena Breakout: Infinite, and The Cycle: Frontier.
The game offers a cooperative third-person shooter experience in a world devastated by a large-scale mechanized rebellion where players take on the role of miners seeking to gather resources, complete missions, and survive deadly dangers in the field.
Previous beta tests of the game have been very successful, but this week’s test exceeded all expectations, showing strong performance stability and a positive response from the community, and is the last chance to try the game for free before its full release at the end of the month.
According to SteamDB statistics, ARC Raiders outperformed the genre’s top titles in terms of concurrent players:
- Arena Breakout: Infinite – 66,007
- Gray Zone Warfare – 72,548
- Dark and Darker – 57,164
- The Cycle: Frontier – 40,854
While shooter fans await the release of Escape from Tarkov on Steam on November 15, many believe that ARC Raiders could be the strongest contender for the top spot in the extractor genre, especially since it currently holds the fourth spot in the list of the most pre-ordered games on the platform.
With these impressive results, Embark Studios appears to be well on its way to establishing ARC Raiders as one of the top new massively multiplayer titles of 2025 with the promise of an immersive and challenging action experience in a post-apocalyptic world.
