Embark has pushed a new update 1.4.0 to ARC Raiders, and although it is a small update in terms of size, it is considered one of the most important updates to the game, as it addresses bugs that have greatly annoyed players and changed the course of encounters over the past weeks.
The most prominent issues solved with this update were related to locked rooms. During the past period, some players were able to enter these rooms without using custom keys, exploiting loopholes that allow access to high-value places and rare loot, which was frustrating for players who risk carrying rare keys with limited use, the new update ended this issue once and for all, as any player trying to break into a locked room without a key is immediately burned.
The update also addressed the famous “Double Pump” loophole, which allowed its user to quickly switch weapons between a primary weapon and a quick-use item, which led to an exaggerated rate of fire, especially with the Shotgun, this loophole affected the game balance significantly and made close engagements almost impossible against those who use it.
The update also included visual and physical improvements, including fixing the low resolution of items in the main menu, preventing players from pushing each other by jumping on their backs, as well as fixes related to lighting and character voice options.
Despite the lack of new content in this update, the community welcomed it with open arms as it restores fairness to the game and fixes glitches that have affected the experience for a long time.
