Embark’s ARC Raiders seems to be experiencing one of its strongest periods since launch as it continues to break records on Steam and has established itself as the most successful extraction game of the moment, and perhaps the most successful in the history of the genre so far.
Despite fierce competition, especially after the release of Black Ops 7 and the release of Escape from Tarkov 1.0, ARC Raiders shows no signs of slowing down; on the contrary, the game has reached a new peak of 481,966 simultaneous players, a staggering number that puts it at the top of the leaderboard.
These numbers make ARC Raiders the most popular game in its genre, beating Tarkov and all other extraction games by a wide margin, and at the time of writing, ARC Raiders is the third most played game on Steam, behind only Dota 2 and Counter-Strike 2, and ahead of huge names like Call of Duty, Battlefield 6, PUBG, and Where Winds Meet.
ARC Raiders maintains an excellent user rating of 88% based on more than 100,000 reviews, a feat rarely achieved by competing games in recent times.

With all this momentum, it seems that Embark is not about to slow down the pace of updates, as the studio published an extensive roadmap covering the months of November and December with major updates coming, most notably the Cold Snap update next month, which will introduce new weather conditions to the map, a new legendary weapon, an additional Raider Deck, and more improvements.
It’s clear that ARC Raiders is still in its infancy, and with this continued growth, it could become one of the most prominent titles of the new generation of action and co-op games.
