The first gameplay footage of Battlefield 6’s upcoming Battle Royale mode has made its way online, first appearing on Chinese website bilibili, before leaking out onto other platforms.
The first one-minute-and-53-second clip showed quick glimpses of the start of the round, swimming mechanics, the ability to destroy buildings with a sledgehammer, and other gameplay elements. Later, a longer 9-minute video gave a deeper look at the gameplay.
While details about the mode are still limited, EA confirmed at the reveal of Battlefield 6 in July that there are two different modes:
- Classic mode
- Competitive Mode (Gauntlet)
The mode will not be available at launch, but will later be released completely free of charge, serving as a direct competitor to Call of Duty: Warzone.
Over the past weeks, we’ve seen multiple leaks of other maps, zones, and gameplay footage from the same mode that were quickly removed from the internet.
Battlefield 6 officially launches on October 10, 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. As for the Nintendo Switch 2, the executive producer emphasized that there are no plans to port the game to it at this time, as the focus is on platforms where Battlefield’s “core audience” is present.
