The latest video game sales data for 2025 has revealed that Battlefield 6 is still at the top of the best-selling games year-to-date, confirming its continued dominance since its release last October.
Mat Piscatella, senior director and senior video game industry analyst at Circana, published the figures via BlueSky, and according to the report, Battlefield 6 has managed to maintain the No. 1 position since its release with a high likelihood of ending the year at the top if its strong performance continues during the remaining weeks of 2025.
In addition to Battlefield 6, the top 5 best-selling games since the beginning of the year included notable titles from various genres, with NBA 2K26 coming in at No. 2, followed by Monster Hunter: Wilds, Borderlands 4, and EA Sports College Football 26.
In terms of new releases, November 2025 saw only one new game enter the annual sales list, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which ranked #7 on the year-to-date bestseller list, a remarkable feat considering its short period of availability compared to the rest of the titles.
This report covers the sales period from January 5, 2025 to November 1, 2025, giving a comprehensive picture of the market’s performance during most months of the year.
