New reports are circulating that Battlefield 6’s highly anticipated Battle Royale mode may launch on October 28, 2025, just 18 days after the original game’s release on October 10. The information comes from ModernWarzone, an account known for its accurate leaks about the Call of Duty and Battlefield series.
According to the leaks, the Battle Royale mode developed by Ripple Effect Studios is still in the testing phase via Battlefield Labs, making the date subject to change. But the choice of this timing has raised many questions, especially since it comes before the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, scheduled for November 14, 2025.
Strategically, the aim of launching Battle Royale at this time could be to tie it directly to the start of Season 1 of Battlefield 6 content. However, some argue that the move is too risky, as any technical issues or poor content at launch could cause a large segment of players to quickly switch to Call of Duty.
Titanfall 2 faced a similar fate when it launched between Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare in 2016, which significantly impacted its commercial success.
