After a period of mystery, new details about the story mode in Battlefield 6 have begun to emerge following the recent teaser during PlayStation’s State of Play event. A new report from the BFBulletin account on the X platform revealed that the campaign will include 9 missions spread across 3 continents: North America, Africa, and Europe with an estimated play time of 4-6 hours.
Full mission list
- Always Faithful
- The Rock
- Operation Gladius
- Night Raid
- No Sleep
- Moving Mountains
- Nile Guard
- Operation Emberstrike
- Always Forward
One early mission takes place in North Africa in the shadow of the Pyramids of Giza, another puts players in the heart of the devastated streets of Brooklyn, and players will encounter Pax Armata in Gibraltar during The Rock.
The story follows a coherent line from start to finish as its events extend to the year 2028 while offering a mix between linear missions and large open areas that give greater freedom in choosing targets, and DICE has confirmed that the eighth mission, Operation Emberstrike, will be uniquely open.
Additional details about the story mode are expected to be revealed during Tokyo Game Show 2025 in conjunction with the highlighting of the new Portal mode, so it seems that the story mode in Battlefield 6 will offer a relatively short experience but full of diversity in environments and battles that extend across different continents to give players a combination of action and cinematic narrative.
