Techland has announced the release of Update 1.4 for Dying Light: The Beast, one of the game’s biggest updates to date, addressing hundreds of pieces of feedback provided by players since launch. Despite the game’s huge popularity at launch, the studio seems determined to polish the experience to near perfection.
Recent months have seen the addition of Call of the Beast Challenges, which have given the game new weekly events, but Update 1.4 goes beyond that to introduce major changes and highly anticipated features.
Players can now relive Kyle Crane’s story, retaining all of their abilities and collectibles, but with an escalating difficulty level with each replay. As you progress in New Game+, the world becomes harsher to match your level of equipment and experience.
After passing level 15, the update will unlock Legend Levels just like in previous Dying Light games, this system gives players a long-term goal after reaching the limit of normal levels and offers additional skills and progression points.
Techland has confirmed that the update includes a huge set of improvements developed based on community feedback with a focus on the parkour system and environment navigation as well as fixes to AI, missions, balance, and playable content.
For those looking for a more realistic experience, the update supports Ray Tracing technology that optimizes lighting, shadows, and reflections, adding a new layer of visual immersion within Castor’s vast forests.
The update will feature a short-lived special event, offering rare rewards and experience multipliers for those who participate in its challenges.
