As the November 14, 2025 launch date approaches, Activision has officially revealed details of the launch content and Season 1 for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, the latest installment of the popular series that returns this time to a futuristic setting but without jumping through walls.
According to the statement posted via the official Call of Duty account on the X platform, the game will include at launch:
- 18 multiplayer maps
- Two zombie mode maps
A week after launch, the legendary Nuketown map will return under the new name Nuketown 2025 to bring back memories for fans of previous installments, then 6 new maps will be added, including Meltdown and Yakei, with additional maps to be revealed later.
The Zombies mode will also receive 3 new maps during Season 1, including 2 Survival maps, giving players a greater variety of experiences.
As with Black Ops 6 last year, Black Ops 7 will be available from day one on Game Pass, allowing a huge number of players to experience it as soon as it is released. Although this move may affect sales of the traditional version as it has in the past, confidence in the large content of Season 1 remains high.
Despite the open beta’s modest performance in terms of numbers, Black Ops 7 is still one of the most anticipated games of the year, and Activision seems to be preparing to support it with long-term post-launch content.
Are you excited to fight in Nuketown 2025 again? Which map are you most looking forward to in Black Ops 7 Season 1?
