In an exciting announcement on social media, Activision confirmed that Season 1 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will be the “biggest ever” in the history of the Black Ops games. The season kicks off on December 4, 2025 with a huge bouquet of new content that will change the player experience from day one.
Season 1 will introduce six additional maps, giving players a wide variety of environments and gameplay. Activision has not yet revealed the details of the maps, but they are expected to include small, fast-paced maps, larger tactical maps, story-inspired maps, or entirely new areas
One of the biggest surprises of the season is a new zombie map described as “out of this world,” suggesting alien or unfamiliar environments. In addition, two new Survival experiences will be introduced, giving zombie fans rich content from the start of the season.
Activision has confirmed that the season will add 7 all-new weapons to the Black Ops 7 arsenal, but so far there is no information about the type of these weapons, how to unlock them, and whether they will be traditional or futuristic weapons. Full details are expected to be published soon.
The season will also feature Endgame World Events, weekly challenges, and additional content that has yet to be revealed, these additions are meant to keep players active throughout the season and increase the game’s interactive lifespan.
Activision has not yet clarified what content will be available from day one and what will arrive mid-season, but it is likely that maps or weapons will be spread over two phases, as is typical of recent Call of Duty seasons.
