Circana has announced the US video game sales report for the period between August 31 and October 4, 2025, revealing that Borderlands 4 topped the list of top-selling games during the month.
Take-Two’s popular shooter made a strong start after its release to take the top spot ahead of NBA 2K26, which continued to make huge sales for the second month in a row. NBA 2K26 has officially become the best-selling game in the U.S. since the beginning of 2025 thanks to its consistent performance.
EA Sports FC 26 took the No. 3 spot, followed by Sony’s Ghost of Yotei exclusive at No. 4, while Madden NFL 26 came in at No. 5, making 3 out of 5 titles on the list sports games, reflecting the huge popularity of the genre in the US market.
The Circana report noted that nearly half of the games in the top 20 were new releases, a remarkable number that highlights the activity of the gaming market during the fall season.
