CD Projekt Red announced during its Q3 2025 earnings call that its development team has grown to a total of 851 developers working on the company’s various projects, an increase of more than 50 developers since last July, reflecting the studio’s readiness to enter a larger phase of work on its most prominent titles.
The data showed that the largest share of the team, about 447 developers, is currently working on The Witcher 4, which is a slight increase from last July, an indication that the project is the backbone of the studio’s efforts in the coming years.
As for Cyberpunk 2, the number of people working on it increased to 135 developers compared to 116 several months ago, and the studio confirmed that it continues to expand the Boston team responsible for developing the game, which started with less than 50 developers in 2023 and today has reached nearly 150 with a clear goal of reaching more than 300 developers by 2027.
Project Sirius and Project Hadar have seen slight increases in staff numbers while the number of developers in the Shared Services division has risen to 162, and even the other category of smaller projects within the company has seen significant growth.
During the same presentation, CD Projekt Red recalled that Cyberpunk 2077 has sold more than 35 million copies and that work on the future of the series is progressing at an accelerated pace with strong indications of a possible multiplayer element in Cyberpunk 2 according to recent hiring announcements.
