After the great controversy over the unrealistic housing in Battlefield 6, EA announced that the colors of the System Override housing have been modified to be more in line with the atmosphere of the real-life military game.
According to TheGamer website and a post on the r/Battlefield forum, the developers adjusted the bright green tones in the housing, which made some believe that it was an unannounced collaboration with Monster Energy drink, and in the new version, the brightness of the colors was reduced and made them darker and more natural, which met the approval of a large number of players who praised the speed of the team’s response.
The issue of the housing started a while ago with the launch of Season 1 of the game, where the Wicked Grin housing received widespread criticism due to its fanciful and inconsistent appearance with the Battlefield atmosphere, and some players even threatened not to revive any teammate wearing this housing in matches!
Players have expressed from the beginning that they want Battlefield to maintain its realistic identity without turning into a cartoonish game like Call of Duty, which EA seems to have clearly realized with these quick adjustments.
Meanwhile, EA continues to prepare for the launch of Battlefield Battle Royale: REDSEC while Activision is working to attract attention by releasing a free trial of Black Ops 6 to coincide with the start of the new Battlefield season.
Do you think EA is making the right decisions by listening to the game’s community, or is hyper-realism limiting the series’ visual creativity?
