Dispatch is gearing up to expand its reach to new platforms as a recent listing on the Australian Nintendo eShop has revealed the game’s release date on Switch and Switch 2 as January 29, 2026.
Although there has been no official announcement yet from AdHoc Studios, this date was spotted by Vooks after updating the game’s page on the Australian store, and according to the details listed, players who purchase the Switch version will be able to receive a free upgrade package that includes improved resolution and a better frame rate when playing on the Switch 2.
Dispatch is one of the most successful modern storytelling games, selling more than two million copies in less than a month since its release and receiving widespread acclaim, including being named Game of the Year by The Witcher 3 director, further cementing its place among storytelling fans.
Written and directed by the same team behind Tales from the Borderlands and The Wolf Among Us, Dispatch is an episodic adventure comedy set in a superhero setting. The player assumes the role of Robert Robertson, aka Mecha Man, who, after a brutal defeat against his arch-nemesis, finds himself forced to serve as an emergency coordinator instead of a superhero in the field.
The gameplay revolves around assessing the ongoing crisis and deciding which heroes are best suited to deal with it. Every decision the player makes directly affects the course of the story, giving the experience a deeply interactive, choice-driven feel.
The game also features a stellar cast that includes Aaron Paul, MoistCr1TiKaL, Jacksepticeye, and Alanah Pearce, among others.
With this upcoming expansion, Dispatch seems to be establishing itself as a storytelling game capable of reaching a wider audience, pending official confirmation from the developers in the coming period.
