As 2025 draws to a close, Microsoft is preparing for the final liquidation of the Game Pass library this year, with two premium games to be withdrawn from the service on the last day of the year, December 31.
The move is part of Microsoft’s cyclical policy of refreshing the service’s content, giving subscribers one last chance to try some titles before leaving or deciding to buy them at a discounted price to keep them permanently.
- Carrion: A different kind of horror experience known as reverse horror where the player takes control of the monster itself on a journey of revenge against humans. The game is relatively short but intense and it is recommended to finish it before it goes out of service.
- Hell Let Loose: One of the most realistic and intense World War II games that emphasizes cooperation, teamwork, and military tactics, its departure is a loss for fans of the genre.
However, Microsoft is preparing to add new titles by the beginning of 2026, offering a variety of experiences to satisfy different tastes:
- Mio: Memories in Orbit: A title for Metroidvania fans that takes players on a journey into a mysterious sci-fi world full of secrets, exploration, and a distinctive artistic atmosphere.
- Nova Roma: A city planning and building game that gives players the chance to create a great Roman city with a mix of historical and mythological elements for fans of long-range strategy.
If you’ve started one of the departing games and haven’t finished it yet, you still have a few days left. It’s also worth noting that Game Pass subscribers usually get special discounts if they want to buy the game before it leaves the service, which is a great opportunity for those who want to keep it in their library forever.
