Bleakmill Studios has announced the public beta of its new game INDUSTRIA 2, becoming one of the first projects to be built on Unreal Engine 5.6. The game promises a focused narrative experience that differs from the mainstream approach of massive games that rely on prolonging their lifespan with repetitive side content.
Unlike many other titles, INDUSTRIA 2 does not seek to occupy the player for hours on end with secondary tasks, instead focusing on a short, intense 4-6 hour adventure that offers a mix of exploration and survival elements with a tool crafting system and a realistic inventory interface integrated into the game world. Encounters rely on advanced physics to give combat a more dynamic feel as bodies can interactively disintegrate during battles.
In terms of weaponry, the game provides 5 basic pieces that can be upgraded through various additions such as silencers, larger magazines, or even special strikes, giving players more freedom to choose their favorite style of combat, and besides that, the project supports full audio performance and dynamic music that changes according to the situation to enhance immersion in the atmosphere.
The demo version highlighted a remarkable technical stability, as the game showed better performance compared to a number of other UE5-based titles due to the use of Lumen technology in lighting and reflections, reflecting the maturity of the engine in its version 5.6, which in turn represents an important milestone before the arrival of UE5.7 with its broader features.
All in all, INDUSTRIA 2 seems to be betting on a shorter but polished and focused experience, which may make it the ideal choice for players looking for an immersive narrative adventure without wasting time on repetitive side content that spans dozens of hours.
