During Gamescom 2025, Warhorse Studios revealed a new trailer for Legacy of the Forge, the third expansion for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, which already ranks as one of the best games of 2025. The expansion will be released on September 9, 2025 and will offer a mix of emotional story and new content for gameplay.
In the story, Henry begins using his late father’s blacksmith to craft new weapons and armor for the residents of Kuttenberg, embarking on a journey that reveals unknown secrets about his father’s past through new characters and allies.
In addition to new weapons and armor, the expansion introduces home customization for the first time, where the player can design bedrooms, galleries and even special armor, with over 100 million design possibilities, opening the door to vast creativity in the medieval setting.
The new content will be available for $14 on all platforms, while Expansion Pass subscribers will receive the expansion for free.
Legacy of the Forge comes after the Brushes with Death expansion, which focused on an artistic storyline and a new armor customization system, and before the upcoming Mysteria Ecclesiae expansion. With the game’s huge success and nominations for major awards, Warhorse assures that continued support will keep Kingdom Come 2 in the spotlight for a long time to come.
