During the Halo World Championships, Halo Studios officially revealed the first extended gameplay demo of the Halo: Combat Evolved remake under the new name Halo: Campaign Evolved, the 13-minute demo was titled The Silent Cartographer, the same iconic chapter from the original 2001 installment.
The presentation showed huge visual improvements thanks to the use of the Unreal Engine 5, which is the first time in the history of the series that this engine is used and can be seen rich environment details, realistic lighting and explosions that highlight the power of the new generation of hardware.
The video shows the traditional fighting style that the series is known for, a combination of fast-paced action, the use of vehicles and the Covenant’s signature weapons, while maintaining the spirit of the original game that was the cornerstone of the Xbox shooter era.
