While gamers’ attention is focused on Sony’s plans for its exclusive titles and current strategies, exciting leaks have surfaced suggesting that the company is quietly working on its next-generation hardware, with the PlayStation 6 and a portable version expected to be unveiled sometime between 2027 and 2028.
According to Moore’s Law is Dead, a relatively reliable tech source, Sony is currently working on two new devices:
– A desktop platform codenamed Orion
– A mobile device codenamed Canis
Although this information has not been officially confirmed, the leaks are based on leaked internal documents according to the source.

– Graphics card: RDNA 5 architecture with 40-48 processing units, frequency exceeding 3GHz

– Processor architecture: 3nm manufacturing precision
