After a two-month absence since the last presentation in July, new reports indicate that Nintendo is preparing to hold a new Nintendo Direct event in the second week of September 2025.
The first source was SwitchForce, before reliable leaker NateTheHate confirmed via a post on the X platform that the event will take place in “the latter half of the second week, on September 11 or 12.”
Although there is no official confirmation from Nintendo yet, expectations are high, especially with several major games coming to Nintendo Switch 2 in October and November, such as:
- Pokémon Legends: Z-A
- Kirby Air Riders
- Borderlands 4
- Little Nightmares III
One of the questions the audience asked Nate was whether the Switch 2 version of Red Dead Redemption 2 could be revealed during the event. The leaker’s response was neutral: “Maybe? Depends on Nintendo reaching an agreement with Rockstar, but it’s coming regardless of where the announcement takes place.”
For now, it’s all rumors, but if true, we’re in for a Nintendo Direct full of big announcements.
