According to a new report published by MP1st, Capcom has been working since 2023 on a new installment of the Dead Rising series, nearly 10 years after the last major release in the series, and it seems that the new game will return players to the action-comedy atmosphere that the series was famous for, with the return of the beloved hero Frank West.
According to the report, the game takes place inside a huge Hollywood filming complex, where a deranged director takes the crew and people on the set and turns it into a complete chaos with the aim of creating the “perfect movie” using the zombie apocalypse.
The leak also indicates that the game will be a direct sequel to the first Dead Rising game, which means that it takes place chronologically before the events of Dead Rising 4. Classic features such as the camera, the limited time system, and survivor rescue mechanisms will return with their role within the story expanded compared to the previous parts.
Until now, Capcom has not made any official announcement about the project, which makes all information within the framework of leaks only, and with the great success of the release of the Dead Rising Deluxe remaster last year, many believe that the time may be right for the series to return to the forefront.
