It seems that Microsoft is preparing a new show in the Partner Preview series, as a new report from Windows Central confirmed that the next event will be held in November and will focus mainly on Xbox Play Anywhere games.
According to journalist Jez Corden, his sources inside Microsoft confirmed that the upcoming show will be dedicated to showcasing third-party games from publishing partners and will include titles that support cross-platform play under the Xbox Play Anywhere initiative, the exact date has not yet been determined, but it is expected to be during the first half of November.
In addition to this show, the report revealed a busy schedule for Microsoft in the coming months:
- October 28, 2025: ID@Xbox event in partnership with IGN that will focus on indie developer and Play Anywhere games, along with announcements for Game Pass and Cloud Gaming.
- December 11, 2025: Xbox’s presence at The Game Awards, though the nature of the announcements has yet to be revealed.
- January 2026: The highly anticipated Developer_Direct event, which is expected to include huge announcements for first-party games.
This comes at a time when Microsoft continues to speak openly about the future of Xbox. The company’s president recently confirmed that exclusivity is an outdated idea, while the head of content said that competing hardware is no longer the biggest threat, but now competes with entertainment platforms such as TikTok and movies.
With the unveiling of the next generation of Xbox coming up, it seems that Microsoft is looking to promote the idea of playing anywhere and expanding its games on all possible platforms. Do you expect the November event to include a major surprise such as a new game announcement or an unexpected collaboration?
