S-GAME seems to be putting its full weight behind its upcoming project Phantom Blade Zero, a fast-paced Hack & Slash action game that caught the eye with its smooth combat and art style to become one of the most anticipated action games in 2026, and despite the current focus on the PlayStation 5 version, this situation may not last long.
Phantom Blade Zero’s release date was officially revealed during The Game Awards 2025, confirming its release on PlayStation 5 and PC, with the complete absence of the Xbox name in the first marketing materials, leading many to believe that it is a complete Sony exclusive.
At the end of the release date display, a clear message appears on the screen that reads: PlayStation 5 Console Exclusive, a piece of information already known, but reading the small text attached to it reveals the full truth as it reads:
Also available on PC. Not available on other platforms for at least 12 months after release.
In other words, Phantom Blade Zero is a temporary PS5 console exclusive, which means that an Xbox release remains a strong possibility after the exclusivity period ends.

This approach is not new to the gaming industry. We have seen it before with titles such as the Silent Hill 2 remake, the Final Fantasy 7 remake and its sequels, where these games were first released on PlayStation and later made their way to other platforms as part of marketing strategies aimed at maximizing profits rather than permanently limiting titles.
With the platform wars equation changing in recent years, it has become common for most major games to reach as many devices as possible with the exception of Nintendo’s exclusive titles, so Phantom Blade Zero’s arrival on Xbox after the exclusivity period seems more likely than surprising.
