Tarsier has officially announced that its new game Reanimal will be released on February 13, 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch after it was first revealed during Gamescom Opening Night Live earlier this year where the teaser trailer sparked a lot of interest among gamers.
The release date was spotted by Shinobi602 on the X platform in conjunction with several important updates. The beta has launched on PlayStation and Xbox Series X|S, allowing players to experience the game’s atmosphere before the full launch, and pre-orders are officially open with exclusive rewards including:
- Foxhead Mask
- Muttonhead mask
The Deluxe Edition includes a season pass for three DLC chapters and the same pre-order bonuses.
Reanimal belongs to the cooperative horror-adventure genre and follows the story of a brother and sister who venture into hell to save their friends. The action takes place in claustrophobic and dark environments both by boat and on foot with a heavy emphasis on exploration that reveals mysterious locations with their own stories.
Fully playable individually, in local co-op and online co-op, the game adopts a shared camera and direction to maximize the sense of claustrophobia and tension, a directorial touch in line with Tarsier’s studio’s signature Little Nightmares.
