More than 14 years after its first release, Rockstar is preparing to launch Red Dead Redemption with a smartphone version available exclusively via a Netflix subscription.
According to the App Store and Google Playpages, the game will be available on December 4, 2025 on Android and iOS devices, allowing players to experience John Marston’s classic adventure anywhere. Users will need an active Netflix subscription to play the game as it is part of the company’s gaming service and will not require any additional in-app purchases.
On iOS devices, the game is 3.1B in size and requires iOS 18.0 or iPadOS 18.0 or later to run smoothly, while on Android, the requirements will be available via Google Play soon, but it will require modern devices to support high graphics quality.
It is worth noting that the mobile version will not include any multiplayer content and focuses entirely on the original story experience.
The mobile version will include the entire Red Dead Redemption experience including the Undead Nightmare expansion that transforms the American West into a world full of zombies and zombie survival battles.
This announcement comes after the ESRB rating for the same game appeared on new generation platforms such as PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2, indicating that Rockstar is preparing to revitalize the game across all modern platforms
