With the official launch date of October 28, 2025 fast approaching, EA has released the official Battlefield 6 Season 1 trailer, which provides a comprehensive look at the most notable additions coming to the game in the coming weeks.
The trailer takes players to the new Blackwell Fields battlefield, a sprawling area featuring besieged facilities and rural homes under a blazing skyline.
EA said in its official statement:
The Blackwell Fields map supports all modes of ground and air combat, from close combat to large-scale engagements.
The company added that the next map, Eastwood, will turn a quiet villa and golf resort into a full-fledged frontline with ground vehicles and helicopters in the fray.
Season 1 also introduces a new game mode known as Strikepoint that emphasizes quick tactical combat and control of strategic points.
Season 1 will bring a host of new weapons and equipment including:
- SOR-300SC Rifle
- GGH-22 Pistol
- Mini Scout sniper
as well as a new weapon accessory and a new vehicle, the details of which have yet to be revealed.
EA explained that Season 1 will launch in 3 consecutive phases with monthly updates that add new equipment and maps to Portal, ensuring that the experience remains fresh.
Season 1 marks the beginning of a long-term support plan for Battlefield 6 that aims to re-energize the player base post-launch, and EA is expected to announce details of Season 2 before the end of the year.
