After the great success of Stellar Blade since its launch in 2024, Shift Up announced in its latest financial report that Part 2 of the game is already in development.
In the report translated by Genki_JPN, thecompany explained:
“We are working hard on developing the Stellar Blade series as a brand, and are currently working on the development of the second part. This part will continue the action-packed legacy of Part 1, while expanding the world and improving the gameplay, cementing its status as a strong series, and we expect it to be even more successful than the original release.
The original game was a temporary PlayStation 5 exclusive before later coming to PC, with the PC version selling a whopping one million copies 19 times faster than the PlayStation version.
The game combined epic combat, powerful music, and a gameplay style that impressed even those who don’t usually favor the genre.
Stellar Blade 2 is expected to be released no later than 2027.
In addition, the company is considering releasing a version of Part 1 for the Switch 2.
With this announcement, it seems that the future of the series will be even brighter, especially with the popularity of the heroine Eve, both for her design and the strength of her in-game character.
