In one of the most significant developments in the region’s gaming industry, Manga Productions has announced a strategic partnership with Japan’s SEGA to bring the highly anticipated racing game Sonic Racing: Crossworlds to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) market.
The partnership is not only limited to the distribution of the game, but also seeks to open new horizons for Saudi talent in the fields of publishing, marketing, and entertainment content creation, thus strengthening the Kingdom’s position as a regional center for the gaming industry. The CEO of Manga Productions, Dr. Essam Bukhari, stated that the move “embodies the significant progress in empowering creative content locally” and demonstrates the ability of Saudi companies to build global partnerships with major players in the gaming industry.
The game is expected to be fully localized and customized for Arab audiences, offering 23 playable characters from diverse worlds, multiple racing worlds, customizable vehicles in terms of appearance and performance, and support for multiplayer for up to 12 players, making it an exciting social experience
This partnership is a strategic move that could pave the way for larger partnerships in the future, whether with SEGA or other global gaming companies, reflecting the evolving entertainment and digital landscape in the Kingdom and the region as a whole.
