It looks like 2023 Game of the Year winner Baldur’s Gate 3 may soon be joining the Switch 2 library according to new hints from well-known leaker NateTheHate.
In response to one of his followers on the X platform who asked him about the release of Red Dead Redemption 2 on Switch 2, Nate explained that he has nothing new regarding RDR2 but he has heard something about Baldur’s Gate 3 for Switch 2 and later added that he needs more verification before sharing full details indicating that he will provide an update on the subject soon.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is one of the most honored games in recent history, becoming in 2024 the first game to be named Game of the Year at all five major award ceremonies:

- Game Developers’ Choice Awards
- DICE Awards
- BAFTA Games Awards
- The Game Awards
The game has received continuous support from Larian with huge updates and new content that has significantly improved the experience, making it an ideal candidate for the Switch 2, which targets a wide audience of gamers who prefer deep experiences on the go.
This rumor comes after a series of strong announcements for the Switch 2, such as:
