In a surprise move, Square Enix has announced that Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition will launch directly on both Switch and Switch 2, making it the latest title to get optimized versions for Nintendo’s next-gen platform. The launch comes amid a flurry of releases targeting the Switch 2 following reports of GTA 6 testing the platform and comments from Helldivers officials about the game’s portability.
According to Square Enix’ s statement, there will be a number of special discounts that can be combined for a significant discount:
- Launch discount of 10% off the base price of $20 until November 24.
- First Loyalty 10% off for owners of Tomb Raider I-III Remastered on Switch.
- Second Loyalty Discount 10% off for Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered owners on Switch.
- A cumulative discount of up to 30% – for those who own both previous versions of Tomb Raider Remastered.
The full version comes with an extensive content package that includes all DLC, six additional costumes for Lara Croft, eight maps, four multiplayer characters, and an eight-player multiplayer mode.
Special digital materials including Comic Tomb Raider: The Beginning, The Art of Survival mini art book and Final Hours of Tomb Raider video series as well as special optimizations for the Switch to ensure stable performance and a proper experience for the platform’s hardware.
