In a new video posted by Treyarch on social media, the development team confirmed that Black Ops 7’s Aim Assist will receive a gradual increase across distances in the near future.
This comes after a long period of player feedback complaining that the game’s Aim Assist is more loose than usual compared to previous installments in the series.
Treyarch said in the video:
“Aim Assist is a big topic right now. We’ve been watching the discussion closely along with our internal data. We are generally satisfied with the current situation but we will be making very subtle changes with a slight increase in Aim Assist power across the range before the start of Season 1.
The team also announced that the spawns system will be thoroughly optimized with revival logic adjusted across all modes, especially on maps where players have complained about unfair spawns such as Hardpoint.
Other upcoming changes such as:
- Reducing the effectiveness of the Drone Pod field upgrade.
- Improvements to the damage system in Hardcore modes.
- Increased minimap visibility in multiplayer.
- Unlocking the Endgame mode of the Black Ops 7 campaign for all players without having to finish the story.
Since launch, Black Ops 7’s Aim Assist system has been heavily criticized even by top pros, with player Shotzzy calling it weird… and not in the good sense. Although Black Ops 7’s launch wasn’t the worst, the game faces tough competition this year with the overwhelming success of Battlefield 6 and the rise of ARC Raiders as the biggest extraction game in terms of popularity.
