The official X Games Awards account has revealed that the 2025 nominations will be announced today via a livestream starting at 8 p.m. KSA time.
The broadcast, which is typically 8 to 10 minutes long, will showcase all of the award categories down to the most important one: Game of the Year. The announcement will be broadcast across the announcement, Twitch and all social media platforms.
2025 saw the release of a strong lineup of games, including:
- Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
- Blue Prince
- Ghost of Yōtei
- Donkey Kong Bananza
along with many other huge indie games that will make the Game of the Year race one of the toughest in the history of the award.
Since its founding in 2014 under the leadership of Jeff Kelly, The Game Awards has become the gaming industry’s largest annual event, combining a celebration of the best work with massive announcements that attract millions of viewers around the world.
This year’s ceremony is set to take place on December 11, 2025 with the ability to also watch it via Prime Video for the first time.
