According to SteamDB data, Monster Hunter Wilds had the highest peak players on Steam among all new games in 2025 as it reached 1,384,608 concurrent players, this figure makes Wilds the fifth highest peak in Steam history ever and is an extraordinary achievement even by Monster Hunter series standards.
To realize the magnitude of this achievement, here are the peaks of the most popular games released this year:
- Battlefield 6 achieved 747,44 players
- Hollow Knight: Silksong achieved 587,150 players
- ARC Raiders achieved 481,966 players
- Schedule 1 made 459,075 players
Despite the strength of these releases and player expectations, no game was able to approach the one million mark while Monster Hunter Wilds comfortably crossed it.
Wilds’ success was not limited to player numbers, but it still maintains the title of best-seller in 2025, reflecting the huge popularity of the series and Capcom’s success in establishing one of the strongest action franchises in the industry.
