ARC Raiders players continue to explore every detail of the new Cold Snap update, which added the Flickering Flames event and covered the maps with snow and harsh conditions, but some players are not satisfied with the current content and have succeeded in previewing what is coming in the coming weeks, including a mysterious new atmosphere called Toxic Swamp.
To explore the upcoming content, the player needs the PC version by launching the game and changing the system date to a future date, and the game displays references to events and challenges that have not yet been officially activated, and of course this information remains subject to change and cannot be considered final.
Over the next few weeks, players will focus on challenges associated with the Cold Snap update within the Trials track, including searching frozen Raider containers and throwing snowballs at Rocketeers and Bastions enemies
The Cold Snap update is set to end on January 13, after which the Hidden Bunker setting will return for one week before an all-new setting is activated starting the week of January 19, Toxic Swamp.
Although there are no official details about these new atmospheres, expectations indicate that they are related to the Dam map since it already contains a large swamp area, and the recent missions added to the game include direct references to increasing levels of toxicity in the swamp, which may be a clear prelude to activating the new environmental atmosphere.
For now, Toxic Swamp remains one of the most anticipated and mysterious additions to ARC Raiders and could represent a new step towards deepening the variety of maps and challenges in ARC Raiders going forward.
