Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 looks set to launch one of the most explosive seasons in the franchise’s history. Season 1, which begins on December 4, reveals a slew of new additions, most notably 8 game modes that go straight into Multiplayer, bringing vibrancy and depth to the competitive experience from day one.
6 modes will become a permanent part of the game, a decision that gives players a wide range of options throughout the season and beyond. Memorable classics like Prop Hunt, Gun Game, One in the Chamber, and Sticks and Stones are returning to the Call of Duty community, providing a fast-paced and entertaining competitive experience.
With this return, Activision introduces an all-new mode called Takeover, a hybrid experience that combines Domination and Headquarters, where players fight for control of 3 neutral zones and as the team takes control, the point counters begin to rise before the zones move to new locations at the end of the takeover period.
In addition to the permanent content, Season 1 brings two limited-time seasonal modes during CODMAS that introduce a festive theme that adds a bit of cheer and chaos to the battlefield.
The first is Holiday Havoc, a festive mix of multiple modes that allows players to gain quick and temporary abilities such as movement acceleration or health regeneration when taking out enemies, while the second is Snowfight, which pits players in a head-to-head confrontation using only snowballs with no respawns.
During the season, players also get new equipment, most notably the Deadeye Drone, which can be unlocked as a reward from weekly challenges, adding a new strategic dimension to the way gear is built during battles.
