Video game sales data for November 2025 revealed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 topped the list of top-selling games during the month, ahead of two major competitors in the shooter market.
According to a report published by Mat Piscatella, Senior Director and Senior Industry Analyst at Circana, Black Ops 7 took the top spot from Battlefield 6, which came in a distant 2nd place, and the top five included a host of sports-themed games as well as shooters.
In terms of new releases, only three new games managed to enter the top 20 best-selling games of the month: Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which topped the list, Kirby Air Riders, which made its way into the top ten, and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, which came in at number 11.

The ranking reflects the continued dominance of major game series in the sales market, with a strong presence of both shooters and sports games, as well as some classic titles maintaining their place on the list despite years since their release.
These results open the door to debate about the performance of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which, despite controversy, managed to top the sales charts during a very competitive month.
