One of the biggest surprises at The Game Awards on December 12 was the official announcement of Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, a revelation that quickly translated into fan engagement and viewing figures across various digital platforms.
According to current statistics, the game’s teaser on the Play Tomb Raider YouTube channel has achieved more than 14 million views so far, while the official PlayStation Channel has recorded nearly 1.7 million views, while the IGN channel has exceeded 1.9 million views, and with the rest of the channels and platforms counted, the total views exceed tens of millions, including a wide spread on social networks.
These numbers show a clear advantage over the Tomb Raider Catalyst trailer scheduled for release in 2027, which achieved far fewer views on the same platforms, reflecting the high level of interest in Legacy of Atlantis compared to other upcoming titles in the series.
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is scheduled for release in 2026 on PlayStation PC and Xbox Series X. The game is the first title in the series to be developed using Unreal Engine 5 instead of Crystal Dynamics’ Foundation engine. The game is co-developed between Crystal Dynamics and Polish studio Flying Wild Hog in its first foray into Lara Croft’s adventures.
It was also announced that Tomb Raider (2013) will arrive on iOS and Android mobile devices on February 12, 2026. The mobile version will include the full game along with all 12 additional content packs including upgrades, costumes, and an additional Challenge Tomb, making it one of the most complete versions of the game to date.
This momentum confirms that the Tomb Raider series is still going strong with gamers and that Legacy of Atlantis could be one of the most anticipated releases of 2026.
