Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is gearing up for its first season, which comes with a huge load of new content across Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone, and as the launch approaches, Treyarch has announced extensive changes that include reworking the Battle Pass experience to make it more rewarding and less time-consuming for players.
According to a statement published on AliEx, the goal is to make every minute spent in the game directly reflect on the player’s progress, so that completing the first pages becomes faster and requires fewer levels to reach high-value content.
Players will be able to unlock special items earlier on the first progression pages, while later pages contain a wider variety of rewards.
The update also includes a new way to earn Battle Pass tokens through daily challenges, available in Multiplayer, Campaign and Endgame modes, giving players more flexibility to progress without having to rely solely on traditional matches.
The announcement of the updates was accompanied by a wave of positive feedback from the game’s community, especially with the improvement of the Battle Pass experience, which players have long complained about its slowness. However, an important request remained unmentioned, which is to provide access to Battle Pass content after the end of its season, something that Treyarch is still required to reconsider in the future.
With these steps, it seems that Treyarch is moving towards building a fairer and more flexible model for rewards, which may reflect positively on the player experience in Black Ops 7 and make Season 1 a real turning point in the way the game deals with the Battle Pass system.
