Ubisoft announced in its financial report for the first half of FY26 that Assassin’s Creed Mirage has reached a new milestone after surpassing 10 million players since launch. This significant spike in players is due to the release of the new free content Valley of Memories, which was released this week in Update 1.1.0.
According to Ubisoft’s report, the expansion has doubled player activity since its launch, pushing the game to a new record level of popularity. However, it should be noted that reaching 10 million players does not mean 10 million copies sold, as this number includes all users across all access methods.
The entire Assassin’s Creed series also performed well during the second quarter. The report noted that Assassin’s Creed Shadows and previous titles in the series exceeded expectations during the period, with the series recording 211 million game days since the beginning of the year, an increase of approximately 35% compared to the average of the past two years.
Shadows also benefited from the launch of New Game+ and the Claws of Awaji expansion, which re-engaged players and boosted activity around the game, and the series is poised to reach a wider audience with the launch of Shadows on Switch 2 next month.
In another context, reports confirmed that the Assassin’s Creed Black Flag remake is coming before March 31, 2026, while the financial report explained that the delay in its results was not due to an acquisition, but rather due to an accounting issue that has been corrected.
